Use our Gemini AI scanner to photograph any stamkaart and import all pigeons automatically.
The AI Pedigree Scanner is one of Pigeon Pedigree Pro's most powerful features. Instead of manually entering pigeon data from a stamkaart, you simply photograph the certificate and our Gemini AI reads every field — ring numbers, names, sex, breed, year, and breeder — across all generations.
The scanner extracts up to 15 pigeons (4 generations) from a single photograph, including the subject, father, mother, grandparents, and great-grandparents.
Make sure you have:
From your dashboard, click Scanner in the left sidebar, then click the Upload Certificate button in the top right corner.
Either take a photo with your phone camera directly in the upload dialog, or upload an existing image from your device. JPEG and PNG formats are supported. The entire certificate should be visible in the frame.
Photography tips: Lay the stamkaart flat on a table. Shoot from directly above with good lighting. Avoid shadows across the text. Even slightly blurry or crumpled certificates usually scan successfully.
Gemini AI processes the certificate in 5–15 seconds. You'll see a progress indicator. The AI detects ring number formats, extracts names and sex, and assigns each pigeon to the correct position in the pedigree tree.
Each extracted pigeon shows a confidence score (0–100%). Fields below 80% are flagged in yellow for your attention. Click any field to edit it before importing. You can also remove individual pigeons from the import if needed.
Click Import All Pigeons (or select specific ones). The system automatically links parents to offspring and builds the pedigree tree. All imported pigeons appear instantly in your pigeon list.
Duplicate detection: If a pigeon with the same ring number already exists in your loft, the system will ask whether to update the existing record or skip it — your data is never overwritten without confirmation.
Retake the photo with better lighting, from directly above the certificate. Ensure the entire certificate is in frame with no cut-off edges.
Some very old certificates have handwritten text that's harder to read. Use the manual entry form to add any missed pigeons after import.
Sex is often inferred from the trailing M/V letter in the ring number. If the certificate doesn't include this, the AI may default to male. You can correct sex on the pigeon's edit page after import.
