This Privacy Policy describes how Pigeon Pedigree Pro ("we", "us", "our"), a service operated by AlphaCue Technologies, handles information about you when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who We Are

Pigeon Pedigree Pro is a platform that helps pigeon breeders track bloodlines, scan pedigree certificates, manage loft records, and generate pedigree documents. For the purpose of data-protection law, AlphaCue Technologies is the data controller for the personal data processed through the Service.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only the data we need to provide the Service. This falls into the following categories:

Information you provide

  • Account & profile data — your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure one-way hash), loft / organisation name, and optional profile photo.
  • Pigeon & loft records — ring numbers, pigeon names, breed, sex, dates, status, pedigree relationships, breeding pairs, health and medical notes, race results, feed formulas, and any images you upload.
  • Pedigree certificate uploads — photographs or scans of paper pedigree certificates you submit to the AI scanner.
  • Support communications — the content of support tickets, emails, and other messages you send us.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage & device data — IP address, browser type, device and operating-system information, pages viewed, and timestamps.
  • Cookies & similar technologies — session cookies needed to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies (see Third-Party Services below).

Payment information

If you subscribe to a paid plan or buy a one-time bundle, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. We store only a customer identifier, plan, subscription status, and billing metadata returned by Stripe.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To create and manage your account and loft workspace.
  • To store and display your pigeon, pedigree, breeding, health, and feed records.
  • To process pedigree certificate scans and extract pigeon data using AI.
  • To generate PDF pedigree certificates and public share links you request.
  • To process subscriptions, payments, and bundle purchases.
  • To send transactional emails (welcome, password reset, subscription, and support replies).
  • To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and detect fraud (including via reCAPTCHA).
  • To understand usage and improve the Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your pigeon records or uploaded images for advertising.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you sign up for), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service), consent (for optional analytics cookies, withdrawable at any time), and legal obligation (to meet accounting and compliance requirements).

5. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted providers to operate the Service. Each processes data only as needed for its function:

6. How We Share Data

We share personal data only in these limited situations:

  • With service providers listed above, acting on our behalf.
  • Content you choose to make public — if you create a public pedigree share link, the pigeon data on that pedigree becomes viewable by anyone with the link until you revoke it.
  • For legal reasons — to comply with the law, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

7. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a specific record (such as a pigeon or scan), it is removed from your active workspace. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.

8. Data Security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, access controls, and tenant isolation so each loft's data is kept separate. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data (you can edit most data directly in the app).
  • Delete your data and account (see the next section).
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent for analytics.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@pigeonpedigree.pro. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

10. Deleting Your Data

You can delete your account and associated personal data at any time. Full instructions are on our Data Deletion page. Account deletion is permanent and removes your pigeon records, uploads, and personal information.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including by the providers listed above. Where data is transferred outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to ensure it remains protected.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
